
Panelists Kathleen Moore, Eric Treene, and Charles Haynes
On June 28, 2012, the British Council, Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, Interfaith Alliance, and the Religious Freedom Education Project at the Newseum hosted a day of panel discussions, “Reason vs. Rhetoric: Understanding American Muslims.”
On this panel, Charles Haynes, Eric Treene, and Kathleen Moore discuss the guiding constitutional and legal principles for addressing the current debates about mosques, sharia law, religious garb in the workplace, accommodation for religious practices in public schools, and similar issues faced by Muslims in the US and UK.
